Shakir worked in the Chamber of Barrister Salman Safdar, Lahore, where he assisted Barrister Safdar with the preparation of his cases in the Lahore High Court and The Supreme Court of Pakistan. The cases he assisted on were appeals involving Heinous crimes, Financial crime, Constitutional issues, and Anti-terrorism charges; drafted motions, writ petitions, and settlement offers; developed strategies for Court proceedings and negotiations; researched, wrote, and filed motions, writs, and briefs for each case; explained available courses of action and possible repercussions of cases to clients; and, analyzed legal documents and identified pertinent issues for clients.
