Ali Asghar, a licensed advocate with nearly three years of diverse professional experience, has successfully represented clients in litigation and arbitration matters before the District Courts, Tribunals, and Arbitrators. Currently employed as an Associate Advocate at one of the leading firms in Pakistan, Ali’s areas of practice encompass Arbitration & Dispute Resolution, Corporate Law, Constitutional Law, Civil Law, and Intellectual Property Law.
Ali possesses exceptional skills in providing professional legal opinions to clients and engaging in legal drafting, including Contracts, Plaints, Written Statements, Writ Petitions & Comments, and various miscellaneous Petitions in Civil and Criminal cases. Additionally, Ali has extended legal assistance to the partners and senior lawyers of the firm, including extensive research and compilation of case laws.

EXPERIENCE
- Represented the clients in their litigation, arbitration and regulatory matters before the arbitrators, tribunals, commissions and relevant regulatory authorities (PPRA, PTA, SECP, OGRA, CCP etc), District Courts.
- Representing the clients before Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) in the matter of fraudulent procurement practices, illegal award of tenders, blacklisting of companies and other Regulatory matters.
- Representing Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) before Civil Courts, and case preparation for its matters before the High Court.
- Handled the legal consultancy services/work of the firm – drafting and reviewing multiple legal and contractual documentation including commercial agreements, different deeds, bidding documents, MOUs etc; negotiations; advising the clients in respect of their projects/contractual implementation etc.
- Rendered professional legal opinions to the clients from Construction; Oil and Gas; Transportation, and NGO sectors on issues ranging from vast array of legal matters pertaining to general Civil, Commercial, Corporate/Company, Land Acquisition, Administrative, Labour & Employment, Procurement, Competition, Oil & Gas and Media.
- Representing various multinational companies in their matters before Islamabad District Courts.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- Adjudicated Pakistan Round of the prestigious “2023 PHILIP C. JESSUP International Law Moot Court Competition”.
- Represented Pakistan in international rounds of 33rd edition of the prestigious “Jean-Pictet Moot Court Competition”, held in Bali, Indonesia, 2021
- Runner-up in “7th TMUC Law Moot Competition”.
- Participated in numerous national law moot Court competitions.
