Service overview
A licence variation or surrender changes the permitted VASP business or ends an existing authorisation.
PVARA differentiates the initial NOC, incorporation in Pakistan, and final licensing for one or more authorised services. An NOC is not an operating licence, and each chosen licence class has its own safeguarding, capital, competence and activity rules.
Who is eligible for VASP Licence Variation or Surrender Applications?
A current PVARA licensee must evaluate client asset liabilities, open contracts, supervisor consent and notification obligations.
An applicant must already be a licensee seeking variation/surrender and demonstrate how client assets and pending obligations will be protected; stopping operations may not extinguish reporting or liabilities.
For VASP licences, paid-up capital, eligible company form, director qualifications and actual regulated activity must be tested separately for the chosen licence class. A PVARA NOC does not grant permission to operate.
