Service overview
Asset managers must report at the manager and, where applicable, individual investment-scheme levels.
Filing deadlines and exemptions depend on company type, share capital, business activity, licensing status, trigger events and the version of the current forms. An obligation should be assessed for each entity rather than assumed universally applicable.
When does Asset Manager Regulatory Reporting apply?
Identify the AMC licences and notified investment schemes, reporting calendars and valuation/custody responsibilities.
An AMC's regulated reporting must include any schemes it actually manages and the trustee/custody arrangements. Not all NBFC returns apply identically to asset managers.

AMC reporting: manager-level and collective-investment-scheme records
Primary-source research note. The following procedural analysis is based on the identified government or regulator sources. Confirm enacted amendments, applicable forms, fees and filing requirements on the date of submission. A consultation draft is not operative law merely because it has been published. This note does not represent final legal-editor certification of the entire guide.
Manager and scheme records are separate
An SECP-licensed Asset Management Company and its collective investment schemes can have overlapping but different regulatory reporting obligations under the NBFC and Notified Entities Regulations, 2008. A manager's annual corporate accounts cannot replace scheme NAV, investment-limit, trustee and investor reporting.
Investor-facing duties
Review NAV calculation and publication, scheme accounts, half-yearly and annual reports, trustee certification, performance information and investor statements for the actual registered scheme. SECP issued 2025 fund manager report disclosure and 2026 performance information circulars; the approved constitutive documents and the scheme category determine which provisions apply.
Operational evidence
Maintain auditable holdings and pricing records, portfolio limits, cash and custodian reconciliations, investor subscriptions/redemptions, complaints and related-party trades. Align compliance officer sign-off with management and trustee duties and preserve approved marketing, disclosure and valuation policies.
Do not use obsolete directions
SECP's NBFC regulations index includes a consolidation updated January 2026, followed by newer circulars dealing with digital investor onboarding and fund performance. Check the proper effective circular, scheme class, actual reporting dates and any later final changes before filing returns.
